Attorney Caroline Ely

Caroline C. Ely is an experienced Massachusetts child and family attorney mediator.  She is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts.  Caroline grew up in Kentucky and Virginia, obtained a Bachelors degree in Psychology from UC Santa Barbara, a Masters degree in Higher Education Administration and Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and graduated from Western New England School of Law in 1985.  Caroline has been active in family mediation for the past eight years, supervising a mediation program through Juvenile Court for over three years.  Caroline also has extensive experience as a social worker and attorney working with children and families. She has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the impact of grief and loss that children experience during a divorce or other family conflict.

Caroline has recognized the devastating effect that divorce litigation causes to the couple and their children.  She is committed to helping couples take control as they develop their own plan to establish new independent lives.   She believes that mediation facilitates productive conversations between individuals with conflicts; she can help couples avoid lengthy and expensive litigation that heighten animosity.  Mediation reduces stress and assists couples in developing a new foundation for working together in the future.
